The first WWE PPV of 2012 has been released as a digital download, but this release is being dealt with a little bit difference.
First, it was put onto Amazon Instant Video 2 weeks early, however there is only five matches available to download at $1.99 each (SD)/$2.99 (HD).
* The Triple Threat Steel Cage: Daniel Bryan vs Mark Henry vs Big Show
* 8 Diva's tag match
* Brodus Clay vs Drew McIntyre
* John Cena vs Kane
* WWE Champion CM Punk vs Dolph Ziggler
However the Rumble match itself isn't available to download.
But on Itunes, they have added the whole event as a Season which means you have to buy the whole show ($9.99 SD), however at least the 30 man battle royal is included. (As of the time of posting, only 3 matches were on itunes, but we expect that to change).
This is the first time they have done this for a PPV and this could easily be something we see in the future however it may just be for the Rumble since they realised people might only pay $1.99 for the Rumble match and leave the other matches, especially the Clay/McIntyre & Diva's match.
We think things will be more clearer in the next few days once its officially released, but the Rumble release isn't as clear cut as normal WWE PPV's.
** Update: the 2012 Rumble is now available to download on Zune, all 6 matches are available to download for 240 MS (HD) & 160 MS (SD) including the rumble match itself.
